Welcome Athletes!
The Nelson Athletic Association invites you to participate in our 27th ANNUAL SWIM, BIKE, and RUN triathlon event centered around beautiful Lakeside Park on August 2 2009. This ¼ Ironman continues to be an event for everyone from top-ranking amateurs to adult and youth participants who are entering for pure enjoyment. We continue to have an adult sprint course for people who are just breaking into the world of triathlons and team events ideal for family participation. Fly the virtual course with Google Earth on our courses page. As well as your tri gear bring your trail shoes, mtn bike and kayak and come and enjoy our beautiful community for the long weekend in August. You just might not leave.

PRIZES
1st Place overall - $250 merchandise package, including future Cyswog entry, WH20 day pass, and $125 Gerick's gift certificate, male, female, long and sprint
2nd Place overall - Free entry and WH20 day pass, male, female, long and sprint
3rd Place overall - WH20 day pass, male, female, long and sprint
Age group medals awarded for all categories except exhibition teams.
"Rookie Award" for fastest first time triathletes (never having done a solo swim, bike, run of any distance previously) male and female both sprint and long. Honour system - sign up on sheet at race package pick-up.
Draw prizes at Pre-Race Meeting & Awards Ceremony.
